We have just added the committee page for the ad hoc Privacy Committee to the CTTAB web site and subscription for the committee email list, which is currently set to allow conversation on the list.
In May, CTTAB was asked to comment on the Seattle Privacy Coalition proposal to City Council for a Chief Privacy Officer and staff for a Privacy Board. CTTAB decided not to endorse the budget and proposal for a Chief Privacy Officer and staff for a Privacy Board, but instead to support the more general concept of a formal privacy review process, as the letter below states.
